Like, make it so the admins/moderators vote and they can't be voted for. So it's up to us to who gets voted. That way there's not many votes and it's the admin/mods doing the voting =]

I think Henry has the idea right! and for prizes maybe like a userbar to put in ur sig saying "MOTM" and then maybe the amount of months they have been MOTM on it? just throwing ideas out there...

You could do it by who received the most thank yous in a certain period of time.  Admins and mods should probably not be included in this, however.

Maybe instead of mods/admins it could be like exclusive voting, like hand picked people that are active and stuff? Or maybe a certain number of posts? The Thank-You's might not work though, because people can give Thank-You's more then once, and plus that brings us back to immature people voting...

What about theres a member of the month, and mod of the month or somethign

Get people to vote. 
 

Mods vote for member of the month
Members vote for mod of the month

Base it on activeness, useful posts, etc.
make a post with guidelines... one post per person or somethign
Most useful, Most active, etc etc.

n gotta support answer, or vote dun count

Noah, the reason I only said admin / mod vote is because we can choose the people and they can't argue about who gets a vote, and they can't say themselves to be voted.
